Extracted from the owners manual:HEADLIGHT AIMING
The headlights on your new Prowler were aimed at the factory. You may wish to check their aim if you suspect misalignment.
Aiming Check
Each headlight assembly has a built in horizontal and vertical adjustment indicator. To check these indicatiors, proceed as folows:
1. Fill the fuel tank and park the vehicle on level ground. A driveway is not normally level. If in doubt and you have no way to check levelness, do not attempt to adjust the headlights.
2. Have someone sit in the driver's seat who is about the same weight as the person who drives the vehicle.
3. Push down on the front and rear of the vehicle several times to make sure that the suspension has settled.
4. Stand in front of the vehicle and look at the top of the aiming gauge through the headlight lens as shown.
5. The bubble should be aligned with the "0" indicator in the center of the gauge.
6. The inner headlight lens surface should be aligned with the "0" at the rear of the gauge.
7. If both "0" indicators are as described, the headlights are properly aimed. Repeat this procedure on the other headlight.
Headlight Adjustment
If either "0" is not properly aligned, proceed as follows:
• Use the screws shown to make any adjustment.
• Turn the adjustment screws until both "0" indicators are aligned as shown.
• If necessary, adjust the other headlight.
NOTE: If you cannot align either indicator to the "0" mark, see your authorized dealer for proper repair.
My question is . . . if you are low on gas and/or the person driving is much lighter or heavier than the most frequent driver, does that mean the lights are not going to be aimed properly when driving ? ? ? ? What happens when you have a passenger ? ? ? ? Inquiring minds would like to know!
